Can you please explain how you get from point A to point B? For example, when you paint the white over the gray, do you use the blur tool to soften the edges, or do you use another, softer brush? Or a combination of the two?
I learned the classic 3D shapes shading(sphere, cylinder, etc.) as my first lesson on how to shade drawings. They told me to take what I learned there and apply it to anything. Ofc I know that the human body is just a lump of irregular shapes but is there a guide or tips anyone knows of that can tell me how to go from shading a sphere to shading like this? I'd be grateful for any help at all ><
