I have seen my own as well as a lot of other artwork from deviant reposted by others on another art site called comicvine..when asked about removing the art work i had done thei too it down ONLY after posting 19 complainted and constantly saying it was stolen did it get removed

there should be a more serious way to prevent art theft other than just water marking..like a disabled right click or something...

Since DA won't do a thing here's a simpler opinion...Just harass the asshole and inform everyone who comments on the work that it's stolen. It may not get what you want, but it's a little justice in its own way.

I, myself, like to copy photos for like youtube vids (always disclaiming anything since I can't draw worth crap) but I'd never ever say I created any work of art.

If it makes ya feel better I've at least had three ppl on ff.net copyright three different stories of mine, luckily I know how to threat and if they dont remove after I threat then ff staff will surely delete it. It's been done for me.

Though in a way you should feel flattered that someone would go to such great lengths to call something of yours their own, but I'm sure your pissed...hope everything goes for the best... ^_~

Maybe DA think that original artworks based on the works of other artists - just like fan art - are not to be taken as original. In their view we may be stealing the ideas of others. But I don't agree! We are not selling, just sharing art.

I would actually be flattered if someone thought my art was worth stealing. But that doesn't necessarily apply to other people. They don't even defend themselves. Not a word. Shame on that theif. No respect there. Keanstar... more like blackhole.

I saw something on SYMPIN's page with something linking to that deviation but it was several months ago. Now? Said thing is gone. If there's nothing we can do, then there's nothing we can do.
