When I started doing digital art, I automatically noticed that my art received more views and favorites, even if I didn't put a lot of effort into it. Honestly, it kinda pissed me off...

Pairings. Put two characters together and people automatically go "OHMAHGAWTHISISSOPRETTYIMGONNAFAVETHISBECAUSETHEYBELONGTOGETHER".
I don't mind, though. ^^ I sort of do that too..

while alot of pics i put effort into get quite a bit of attention
the piece of crap ones i find silly and barely artistic get the most attention

something i put very little effort into gets the most faves/views. guess what? it's fan art.

I find either stupid/funny stuff or fanart gets a lot of views. Or a combo of that. For example, I spent about 15 mins doing this stupid photomanip of a Zelda screenshot for a joke, and it became really popular. Amount of effort doesn't always seem to matter, but I think if something looks really eye-catching, it's going to get more views.

I don't know but for some reason people like my gay photos of the sky and food :\

my quick doodles and stuff i dont even really use any effort on seems to get more veiws and favs, while the stuff i work very hard on, is not very much appreciated. T^T

Spend like 30 min giving random people llamas, that usually gets you quite a few page views...

..My actual pictures don't get many favs. A photo of a Twilight book I mutated however, that got huge feedback... :/
