I like manga better. Watching anime is too much of a hassle for me, honestly. It makes my computer overheat after like 5 minutes. ;P I feel like watching anime is something I only do now when I need to kill time.
Well, in general, I like them both, because I can appreciate the original artist's work on the manga, but also appreciate of an entire dedicated team of animators working on the show as well. Animation. Is. Hard. so I'll appreciate good animation almost any time. BUT. I also tend to like looking at art/reading comics/watching shows, that don't necessarily rely on the style that came from Japan, (Manga/Anime) because art originating from western culture also has a lot of offer~ Like "The Darkness"~
I would have to vote Manga, mostly just because you can't find as much english sub/dub anime like you can manga, and the amount of manga that I like is limitless it seems, where anime seems to often be visibly displeasing or overall boring for me. So anime is nice and all but Manga is definitely a preference for me
Manga's are really good when I want to reread a certain scene over and over, or really enjoy the detail, and traveling/easy access. The only bad thing is I find fighting scenes sometimes difficult to keep up on >.< I tend to watch more anime cuse I enjoy the movement, color, and putting a voice to the face :3 As well as being able to tell whats going on during fighting or whatever. Both are great though!
sometimes i prefer anime, but usually its manga. i hate when you watch it and there are fillers and you just want it to get to the real plot!!!! i like anime better when i havent read the manga already xD or if its not based off a manga (which is rare these days~)
i only watch 2 animes.....but i started with their mangas....the anime version of them just depicted fight scenes sooo well i had to watch the anime version~ (bleach btw lool, and ao no excorcist being the other)~ otherwise...manga is it for me XD
Both, generally speaking. But Sometimes, it depends on what I was exposed to first. When it comes to certain anime's like Bleach, I saw the anime first, and in english, so I just prefer it-- it's what I'm used to. However, I read Furuba first, then watched the anime in Japanese, and preffered the manga, and the Japanese version over the english. And in Inuyasha, I prefer english. Princess jellyfish, I prefer Japanese. (and so on and so forth, lol)
Anyways, it really just depends on which adaptation I like better, and which I was exposed to first, the quality of the manga and anime, and preference of plot/storylines.
lol what I rant I just wrote here (sorry 'bout that >.<)
I like manga. Anime is WAY too time-consuming. Half on hour for one episode? I don't think so, when I could read it in less than ten minutes :/ Plus it comes out TONS faster, and stays to the plot. Manga. Definitely.
Depends on the series. Sometimes the anime ends up being more interesting than the manga, or vice-versa. For example, I think the Naruto manga is a lot better than the show (which tends to be a little too slow for my liking), as well as the fact that I think Kishimoto's drawings have got a lot more character. On the other hand, I tried reading the Bleach manga and almost died of boredom (this being volume 1, I don't know about the others), but I find the show much more interesting. Haha. And then there are other series, like FMA or Deathnote, with the manga and anime being pretty much equal, so I'm willing to both read and watch.
For the poll I chose "manga", though, because I like deciding on the character's voices myself. It's rare that I watch the TV adaption and go, "YEAH, THAT'S THEIR VOICE." but when that does happen it's awesome. x) I also find it easier to get farther in the story in one sitting with manga. The equivalent of one manga volume in anime tends to be about four episodes, which generally takes a lot longer to watch than just reading the manga (unless the manga is quite dense).
I love both anime and manga. The only problem I find is that some series have the anime cut short and the manga goes on longer or the anime boxsets are either hard to find or too expensive so you pretty much have to rely on the manga. It's awesome for reference though! ^^
The art is generally better in manga, and with less fillers, but usually I'll watch some of the anime to see if it's good and/or if I like the music. Pretty music is a must. But yeah, it really depends on the series... *shrugs*
