It bugs me because I work hard to make my OCs as unique and different from other people's characters as I can, and then someone comes around and says "She looks like __" or "That personality is like __ from ___"

why would this bother you?

I haven't had that happen, and I kinda admit when I borrowed a piece of another character but if someone compared them to a character that I didn't borrow a bit of I would annoyed

It depends. There are a lot of nearsighted idiots in this world. Might as well learn to tolerate it lol.
I usually don't mind that much at all. BUT when I draw a random generic cat and they say it looks like pikachu, I feel like shoving my pencil in their eye sockets.

I'm not particularly sure on this one. But after one sees something, that is at least somewhat similar, he or she should also go through the differences. That's how i see it

Besides, all people have one head, two arms and two legs. God must sue us for stealing his idea, mustn't he? XDDDD

I'm too shy to show off my ocs to offten and so far I haven't gotten comments like that, because usually its design and not so much as well as personality for them to compare.
