It's scientifically proven that if a person stops practicing aspects of education, such as math, science, etc., then after about 5 years, their IQ will start to drop.
Ever since I found that out, I was afraid that the same thing would happen to my drawing, but in a shorter amount of time and at a faster rate. D:

... I pretty good at freaking myself out. ;P

i've practicing more shading and realistic portriats lately, which is all fine and dandy, except when i try to draw a body or i try to get my manga/anime style back...it looks like total crap

Not exactly, but I worry that I'll either go blind, lose my memory or be unable to use my hands, and not be able to draw because of it.

:iconthinkingplz:In fact I kinda have........... I have been very lazy the last few years & "severely" distracted with kids.......and now that I have been using the computer & re-trained my hand/wrist to use a"mouse" to draw... I find its NOT AS EASY as it used to be to go back to pencil.....my skill has demoted/regressed and is "eh" or mediocre now:grump:.......Its kinda compared with the differences between "DRIVING an AUTOMATIC VEHICLE versuses a STICK-SHIFT VEHICLE":lmao::rofl::laughing:

I never thought about it till I got depressed junior-senior year in highschool. Wasn't in the mood to draw, so I took a few months off...and turned into a couple years TT.TT I'm finally drawing again, but I had to reteach myself (still am) and I don't post any of my old drawings cause its embarrassing that I use to be better than I am now lol.

People don't forget that. It's just a bit stiff if you start again after years and you just continue on the same level where you were at. :)

WE HAVE MUSCLE MEMORY

so the lack of use of hands in drawing might affect it, but I don't seem to have that problem.

Naw, i never worry about that, to me, drawing is like a sport or something that your good at, it's like the more you do it the better you become until your practically at the pro levels but then you suddenly stop and after a long stretch when you return, you feel like your off your game for a bit but after a short time of practicing, your right back on top with your mad skills and you advance to even greater heights than b 4!!!....Case in point when it comes to art, my philosophy ---> "Thy skill mastered from one's past never leaves it's host yet only lies in dormancy until re-awaken in thy future to return to the surface with a skill wrath far more deadlier than b 4!!" :)
